The Prison Creative Arts Project (PCAP) brings those impacted by the justice system together with the University of Michigan community for artistic collaboration, mutual learning, and growth.

We are excited to invite you to our 2025 Art Auction Online

Join us for an exciting art auction to help fund the 30th Annual Exhibition of Artists in Michigan Prisons. Each year, PCAP showcases artwork from 25 Michigan prisons, amplifying the voices of incarcerated artists, breaking stereotypes, and sparking dialogue about mass incarceration. 

This year, we are hosting a completely online art auction to increase flexibility for our community as we work to raise funds for our 30th annual exhibition. With numerous cuts to federal and state arts and culture funding, it’s critical that we raise funds for the exhibition so we can continue supporting incarcerated artists by sharing their work with the world.

The Art Auction Online begins on December 4th at 9:00am and ends on December 5th at 11:59pm. Click the link below to access the bidding page

Prior to the auction, you can sign up to bid and preview items, and at 9:00am bidding will begin! A credit card number is required to bid, but you will only be charged if you win an item. Winners can pick up their pieces the PCAP studio on December 7th 5-8pm and December 8th 4-7pm. You can also ship your items, shipping costs will apply. Winning bidders will receive more details about pick-up and shipping after the event.
